For sensory-impaired individuals, P.E.R. has developed barrier-free orientation systems and products such as guidance systems in Braille and pyramid characters as well as the strobe light in cooperation with the Blinden- und Sehbehindertenverein Schleswig-Holstein e.V. (Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired in Schleswig-Holstein). Precautionary fire safety measures are especially important for children, the illiterate or individuals who do not speak the local language, a subject that presents special requirements, since these individuals have difficulty reading texts. For these target groups, P.E.R. has developed easy-to-understand drawings that explain how to behave in the event of a fire. Individuals in enclosed underground transport systems are quickly subjected to very high temperatures and thick clouds of smoke in the event of a fire. For such situations, P.E.R. has developed photoluminescent high-quality coatings that store light well even under unfavourable lighting conditions.
